Annual enrollment
Go to your personalized Benefits Guide at One.Walmart.com/AE starting Oct. 11. You can learn what’s new for your location, see if your plans are changing next year, check the benefits you’re already enrolled in, and see everything else you can enroll in. You’ll also find more benefits and programs that don’t require enrollment.
Once you’ve reviewed your Benefits Guide, just click any of the “Enroll now” or “Click here to get started” buttons to go to Online Enrollment. You can also visit One.Walmart.com/Enroll to get started.
Annual Enrollment is optional for all associates. But if you’re in a location where your current medical plan will no longer be available in 2026, you should complete an enrollment session to make sure you get the medical plan you want. If you don’t make another choice, you’ll be enrolled in the Premier PPO Plan at your current coverage tier (such as associate-only or family). To see if your plan is being discontinued, and to learn more about everything that’s available, visit One.Walmart.com/AE to see your personalized Benefits Guide.
Even if you’re not affected by a change to the medical plans available to you, Annual Enrollment is still a great time to look at your current benefits, think about any changes you might want to make, make sure your beneficiaries are up to date, and learn about other programs and tools.
Medical plans
Most areas won’t see any major changes for 2026. But in some areas we’re adding a new medical plan, discontinuing current ones, or closing a current plan to new enrollment. You can review your Benefits Guide at One.Walmart.com/AE to learn more and see exactly what affects you.
- New medical plan. In selected states we’re introducing the Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan.
- Plan closed to enrollment. In areas where the new plan will be available, the Contribution HRA Plan is closed to new enrollments effective Oct. 10, 2025.
- Discontinued plans. In some areas the Banner Local Plan, Mercy Arkansas Local Plan, and PPO Plan (also known as Aetna PPO Plan) will be discontinued.
- Plan names. Our current national plans will have new names.
- Network changes. In some areas your medical plan’s provider network will change, along with the third-party administrator that administers your medical benefits.
The plan names are changing to make it easier to understand what sets each plan option apart:
- The current Premier Plan will become the Premier PPO Plan. It features predictable copays for some covered care.
- The current Saver Plan will become the Saver HSA Plan. It allows you to open a Health Savings Account (HSA) to pay for eligible care now or in the future.
- The current Contribution Plan will become the Contribution HRA Plan. It comes with a Health Reimbursement Account (HRA) that uses Walmart dollars to automatically pay some of your eligible medical expenses.
Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan
We’re introducing a new medical plan option—the Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan—in eight pilot states: California, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Tennessee, Washington, and West Virginia. These eight states were selected based on a variety of community health factors, including access to care and opportunities to enhance overall well-being.
The Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan offers $0 copays for in-network primary care (in-person and virtual), expected lower out-of-pocket costs in most instances, no deductible, and low or $0 pharmacy copays. This plan offers 24/7 access to an artificial intelligence (AI) well-being agent, called “Dot,” that can answer general health or benefits questions. It also provides access to a personal care navigator to help you find care and understand your benefits.
Access to a personal care navigator is a feature of the new Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan. Your care navigator is your single point of contact for all questions regarding your medical plan benefits.
Care management services are designed to help associates with things like chronic conditions. Care management professionals will coordinate the network’s providers and resources, looking at the whole individual rather than just the symptoms or conditions being diagnosed. This can result in higher quality of care, improvement in your experience with your providers, and potentially lower your out‑of‑pocket medical expenses. Care management services are available with the Premier PPO, Contribution HRA, Saver HSA, and Personalized Wellbeing Copay plans; the personal care navigator is unique to the Personalized Wellbeing Copay Plan.
Discontinued plans
Our benefits team regularly reviews the plans and programs we offer to make sure all associates have equitable access to plans that support their health and well-being. As a result of recent reviews, we’ve decided to discontinue three plans for 2026:
- The PPO Plan (also known as the Aetna PPO), available only in selected facilities and already closed to new enrollment.
- The Banner Local Plan, available in parts of Arizona.
- The Mercy Arkansas Local Plan, available in parts of Northwest Arkansas and southern Missouri.
Maybe. The list of in-network doctors and other providers may change when you switch from one of these plans. However, most providers are in more than one network, so some of the providers in your current plan may also be in-network for our national plans, such as the Premier PPO Plan. You can go to IncludedHealth.com/Walmart to check the providers in your new network.
Go to your personalized Benefits Guide at One.Walmart.com/AE to see if anything is changing with your plan or your provider network. In some areas your plan's third-party administrator may have changed, which means different providers may be in-network.
If you work in California, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Jersey, Tennessee, Washington, or West Virginia, the Contribution HRA Plan is closed to new enrollment effective Oct. 10, 2025. Because the Contribution HRA Plan is still available to associates in these states who are already enrolled, you may see the plan on your Compare Plans page with a note that new enrollment is closed and/or frozen.
Our benefits team regularly reviews the plans and programs we offer to make sure all associates have equitable access to plans that support their health and well-being. As a result of one of these reviews last year, we determined that the PPO medical plan option would no longer be available to new participants in 2025. When the plan is discontinued at the beginning of 2026, most associates will have the same Walmart medical plan options offered nationwide.
You’ll keep your plan through the end of 2025 as long as you stay at the same work location. However, the plan will be discontinued effective Jan. 1, 2026, so you need to look at your options and choose a new plan during Annual Enrollment. Keep in mind that if you don’t choose another plan, you’ll automatically be enrolled in the Premier PPO Plan.
Third-party administrators
The current third-party administrators are Blue Advantage Administrators of Arkansas, Aetna, and UMR. They help us administer our national medical plans, such as the Premier PPO Plan. These administrators are responsible for maintaining networks of doctors and other providers at a competitive cost. We review and analyze these networks regularly to make sure our associates continue to have a choice of cost-competitive providers no matter where they live and work. As a result of recent reviews, we’re making two changes for 2026:
- We’re discontinuing Aetna for 2026. If your plan is currently administered by Aetna, your new third-party administrator will change to Skai Blue Cross Blue Shield or UMR.
- We’re also changing administrators in some work locations from their current Blue Advantage Administrators of Arkansas to UMR, or from UMR to Skai Blue Cross Blue Shield (the new name for Blue Advantage Administrators of Arkansas).
TPA stands for third-party administrator. Walmart’s national medical plans, like the Premier PPO Plan, are self-insured, which means Walmart creates and funds the plans instead of an insurance company. To help with the day-to-day management of the plans, we work with TPAs. They provide participant service and help for our associates, build and maintain networks of doctors and other providers, handle claims, send out plan ID cards, and manage other aspects of the plans.
Skai Blue is the new name for BlueAdvantage Administrators of Arkansas, one of the TPAs that helps administer Walmart’s national plans. You can expect the same levels of service, with no disruptions to your ongoing claims or care management. And while the details of their provider networks can change throughout the year, no major network changes are expected due to this change.
The list of in-network doctors and other providers may change if your administrator does. If you have an HMO plan available where you work, that plan will have a different network of providers. However, most providers are in more than one network, and many of the providers in your current network may also be in the new one. Go to IncludedHealth.com/Walmart to see who’s in your new network.
We’re making changes to the way your plan covers prescription drugs to provide participants with lower-cost but equally effective drugs. If you take certain brand-name anti-inflammatory drugs, you will have a $0 copay if you switch to different, equally effective drugs that are on the preferred formulary. Non-preferred drugs are subject to a $250 copay. Excluded drugs are not covered. You can see plan formularies at One.Walmart.com/Pharmacy, or call OptumRx at 1-844-705-7493.
Cost sharing
We're holding cost increases to a minimum again for 2026. Medical plan costs will go up for both Walmart and associates. Your cost for dental coverage will also increase. Your cost for vision coverage will stay the same, and you won’t see significant increases in your costs for other benefits plans. Go to One.Walmart.com/AE to see how your plan’s costs are changing and to compare your options.
Starting Oct. 11, you’ll see your 2026 cost per pay period on your personalized Benefits Guide at One.Walmart.com/AE. You’ll also see your current and new costs when you enroll. You can also visit One.Walmart.com/ComparePlans to compare costs for all available plans.
Enrollment and help
Your personalized Benefits Guide at One.Walmart.com/AE will show you all the benefits you’re eligible to enroll in. You can also visit One.Walmart.com/BenefitsBook to learn more about eligibility.
The new Medical Plan Cost Calculator is a simple way to explore your medical plan options. Just enter a few details about your family and health care needs, and the tool will show you a comparison of the available plans, making it easier to choose the plan that fits you best. Visit One.Walmart.com/CostCalculator to try it.
You can also check the Compare Plans page for more information. This will show you all the medical plans available at your work location, as well as coverage details for each plan. It also shows the plans’ third-party administrator for your area, both now and for 2026 in case your administrator is changing. Go to One.Walmart.com/ComparePlans to try it.
In almost all cases, associates who don’t make any changes will automatically keep their current benefits in 2026. The PPO Plan (also known as the Aetna PPO), the Banner Local Plan, and the Mercy Arkansas Local Plan, which are currently available in only some locations, will no longer be available. If you're enrolled in one of these plans, you'll be notified in your Benefits Guide. Unless you make another choice, you'll be automatically enrolled in our most popular option, the Premier PPO Plan.
If you became eligible for the first time recently but haven't enrolled yet, you may have an opportunity to sign up for the rest of 2025 and for 2026. You’ll need to complete two enrollment sessions back-to-back. If you didn't enroll for 2025 and the deadline has passed, you can still sign up for your 2026 benefits if you are still eligible. And if you did enroll but want to make changes for 2026, now’s the time to do it. For more instructions on how to enroll for both years, visit One.Walmart.com/AE to check your Benefits Guide.
Yes, as long as you complete another enrollment session before the end of the last day of Annual Enrollment. You can log in to the Online Enrollment tool and make changes as many times as you like while Annual Enrollment is open. But the choices you’ve entered as of 11:59 p.m. Central on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, will be final.
Most associates won’t be able to enroll again until this time next year. But if you have an “election change event” like getting married or having a baby, you’ll get another chance to change your benefits choices. Keep in mind that there are some benefits you can change at any time, like optional life insurance and 401(k). Go to One.Walmart.com/BenefitsBook to learn more.
If something happens to you, many plans include cash payments to your loved ones; these people are your beneficiaries. You should keep your beneficiaries up to date so these benefits can be paid according to your wishes. Annual Enrollment is a great time to take care of that. Visit One.Walmart.com/Beneficiary to see your beneficiaries and make any updates.
